Why Alabama

A skilled workforce, pro-business environment.

Given its access and proximity to major markets, the region is an ideal location for manufacturing, aviation and defense, automotive, biotech, logistics and distribution companies.

Alabama has built one of the nation’s best trained workforces through investments in education systems and an award-winning training program, AIDT.

A hub for manufacturing, Alabama has over 100,000 employees with an average annual salary of $54,000 – significantly lower than the national average of more than $70,000 without sacrificing skill or reliability.

Our Alabama territory also offers access to national and international markets and companies such as Airbus, Shaw and James Hardie.

Each year, the region’s colleges and universities award more than 35,000 degrees and certificates in industrial mechanics, logistics and supply chain management and airframe technicians, as well as 4,100 business administration and management degrees and certificates.
