PowerSouth Energy Cooperative announced today several organizational changes to better focus on strategic initiatives and serve its 20 distribution members.
To consolidate administrative functions, PowerSouth’s Purchasing, Warehousing and Building and Grounds Department will move under the supervision of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Division, led by Beth Woodard, PowerSouth’s vice president of legal and corporate affairs.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Legal Affairs Manager Patrick McCalman will assume responsibility for PowerSouth’s purchasing and warehousing function. McCalman will continue to report to Art Brunson, director of legal affairs and compliance.
PowerSouth Safety Manager Buddy Manring will assume responsibility for PowerSouth’s headquarters building and grounds functions, in addition to his current corporate safety services responsibilities. He will continue to report to Woodard.
“Our goal is to take advantage of opportunities to streamline operations and focus our talents in an effort to become even better stewards of our members’ resources,” says Gary Smith, PowerSouth president and CEO. “These changes support our mission of delivering reliable, economical energy to our members.”
