Local Students Represent PowerSouth at Montgomery Youth Tour

PHOTO CUTLINE: Eight local students represented PowerSouth at the Alabama Rural Electric Association’s Montgomery Youth Tour March 4-6. They joined hundreds of youth from across the state to learn more about government, the legislative process and the rural electrification program. Shown in front of the state capitol are (front row, left to right) Adriana Morgan and Alexa Wilson from Opp High School and Jonathan Bryant and Jodie Watson from Andalusia High School, (back row, left to right) Vicente Jimenez and Travia Martin from Elba High School and Laneshia Magwood and Chelsea Linson from Pike County High School. As Youth Tour winners, Bryant, Morgan, Jimenez and Linson will receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., in June to participate in the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Tour.
